Yea, that would be something we learn in school. The basic definitions of past, present and future.
But going a little deep into this, not the examples ofcourse, we realize that we never bother to care about the present.
We hardly ever have time to think about the present because we're all caught up between the ghosts of the past and the fog of the future.
Speaking of ghosts of the past, I guess, there isn't one person on Planet Earth who doesn't have a thing in his past that haunts him. It's something every single individual has before he dies. It could from something as small as accidentally killing your goldfish while you were 10 or to something as regretful as breaking the trust of someone whom you care about. Even I have something in my past that I regret. It's something that can bring my mood down from, on a scale of 0-100 with 100 being the happiest, to 0.
Now people'll probably think/say "This guy is God damned 17! How the hell does he have something to regret?!". Well, here my friend, age doesn't matter. It's the actions we do that bring us to the juncture. When we do something, we need to be prepared, and be ready to accept the consequences, no matter what they are. You could call it a commitment in a way. Marriage/Relationship, is probably the best example I could present to you... *chuckles*
The future though......well, that's a whole different game of ball.
I, want to be a cardiologist when I grow up. That's my dream.
I'll go to the best med college in the world. That's my hope.
Dreams and hopes. These two things, are probably the worst things to ever be created........or felt to be precise.
Both dreams and hopes are like stacks of coins or like houses of cards or like dominoes kept one after another.
Now apart from those few lucky individuals, these FALL.
And when they fall, it brings us to nothing. Hearts turn void. Brains become null. Path becomes lost.
It's like everything that ever matters to you just.....poofs in thin air......and leaves us with everything that we never wanted.
But, in between these two grinding gears lies the present.
Something that's void of hope, dreams and regrets.
It is ironic though that the present at once was something that had hopes and dreams associated with it and might turn into a reason for our regrets, it is the only phase when everything is clearest.
At this point, I would like to note that I myself have no idea what to write.
Or is it so?
Or maybe I'm just too lazy to finish this post?
Who knows?
Anyways, it's pretty late at night and I'm very hungry, so I'm gonna get something to eat.
This is me, with a bored look on my face, a groaning tummy and a late post as usual,

How are you always hungry by the end of the post?
ReplyDeleteI have asked myself that question so many times, that I lost count of it...
